Join us in putting together hygiene kits to be distributed at our Food Pantry and Community Lunch in January. To donate, drop off hygiene products in the collection box at the back of the sanctuary by Sunday, December 16. We’re asking for soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs.

Advent member Scot Zoid is hosting a special night of eclectic music raising money for Advent and celebrating his 2-year anniversary. The evening will feature a variety of musicians interwoven with prayers, stories, and a message by Pastor Danielle. The recommended donation per person is $10, but all are welcome regardless of ability to contribute.

Help us work with 7th students Trinity School learn to about food ministry in our neighborhood by serving a community dinner. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to represent Advent and help host this month’s dinner. Email Chandra at ctravis3@mac.com if you’re able to help.

We have enough food to host an extra pantry this holiday season! Volunteer to help us provide groceries for families and individuals during the holidays. We ask that volunteers try to arrive at 5:30pm, and plan to open the doors for our guests at 7pm.

Join us in celebrating the Scandinavian tradition of Santa Lucia during our 12pm coffee hour with the tradition crown of candles, Christmas games, and a whole cornucopia of Swedish treats. Rice pudding, ginger cookies, Swedish meatballs . . . come enjoy a delicious and fun Advent season celebration.

In the Latino tradition of Las Posadas (literally “The Inns”), we will reenact the story of Mary and Joseph searching for a place to stay on Christmas Eve. At each inn where Mary and Joseph are turned away, we will share a present-day story of an immigrant in our community.

Come get into the spirit of the season with Christmas tree decorating, caroling, ornament making, kids crafts, hot cocoa, a photo booth, giving, advocacy station, gifts and ornaments, and more!
